Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais. To put it in two words, he was funny.

I went to see the “9 Lessons and Carols for Godless People” in London over Christmas break. It was the best four and a half hours I have ever spent. Ok, well parts of it were just alright. BUT most of it. ah. amazement. There was music, comedy, poems. Everything one needs to be happy. Evolutionary biologist, Richard Dawkins, was immensely entertaining. His bit was amazing. I find him quite interesting as a person. Apparently he came to give a speech last year about evolution to my University. However… I wasn’t at the university then. So. I got quite sad when I found that out.
But, life goes on. (Disclaimer: for some people, admittedly not for everyone).
Well. It is getting late, so I will have to recommend you a very entertaining book I accidentally stumbled upon in xkcd.com (brilliant comic). It is called “House of Leaves”.
It seems to be written from a point of view of a hiddenly insane person. So if you like “strange” fiction, that is the book for you. It is funny, edgy, disturbing, weird, everything you need in a good novel.

Cheers,
your beloved Gekko.
